After our prolonged Christmas break Stokesley 3s returned to action against an organised Norton side. The away side took advantage of their chances and built up a 2 goal lead. However Stokesley began to grow into the game bringing a goal through a short corner routine where Ethan latched onto a loose ball after the initial shot from Jonny was saved on the line. Norton scored a couple more goals bringing the score to 4-1 at halftime.
Stokesley continued to build in the second half and through goals from Rob Walker Stokesley closed the gap. Norton again took their chances and again grew their lead. But with further goals from Jonny and Dylan, Stokesley had a strong finish to the game.
With the game ending 8-5 to Norton Stokesley can still take plenty of positives into the second half of the season. It's a team which continues to grow and develop with younger members of the squad continuing to shine and grow.
